Mimar En Casa is committed to making this website usable for everyone — including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technologies. This page describes our current accessibility practices, known limitations, and how to report issues.
01Our goal
We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the widely-accepted international standard for web accessibility. This is a commitment we're building toward, not a certification we've completed.
02What we've done so far
- Semantic HTML structure with proper headings, navigation landmarks, and document outline for screen-reader compatibility
- Descriptive ARIA labels on interactive elements and decorative graphics hidden from assistive tech where appropriate
- Keyboard-navigable menus, links, and form controls
- Color contrast ratios that meet WCAG AA standards for body text and primary interactive elements
- Responsive design that works across mobile, tablet, and desktop without horizontal scrolling
- Clear, plain-language copy that avoids jargon where possible
- Forms with visible labels and error messages
03Known limitations
We're honest about what isn't fully accessible yet:
- Live fleet-tracking visualization: the animated pin-drop and map illustration on the homepage is decorative — it communicates brand feel rather than operational data. It isn't currently described for screen readers beyond a general landmark.
- Motion and animation: some pages include subtle animations (pin drops, fades). We plan to respect the
prefers-reduced-motion browser setting in a future update.
- No formal audit yet: the site has not been reviewed by an independent accessibility auditor. Our accessibility claims are based on internal good-faith implementation against WCAG 2.1 AA, not third-party certification.
- PDFs and external forms: documents we link to (e.g. Google Forms application pages for job applications) are governed by those third parties' accessibility practices, which we don't control.
04Reporting an issue
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, have trouble using any part of the site, or have suggestions for improvement — please tell us. We take accessibility feedback seriously and will work to resolve issues as quickly as reasonable.
- Use our contact form
- Call: +973 1311 5515
- Post: Office 14, Building 739, Road 831, Sanabis 408, Kingdom of Bahrain
We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days.
05Alternative formats
If any information on this site isn't accessible to you in its current form, we're happy to provide it in an alternative format — by phone, email, in person at our Sanabis office, or via another channel that works for you. Get in touch and we'll make it work.
06Ongoing work
Accessibility is ongoing, not one-and-done. Our current plan:
- Commission a formal WCAG 2.1 Level AA audit by an independent accessibility specialist
- Implement the fixes and improvements the audit recommends
- Add motion-reduction support via
prefers-reduced-motion
- Review and update this statement at least once per year
